The Council on Developmental Disabilities is a Governor-appointed body of people with disabilities, family members, and professionals who work together to promote the full inclusion of all people with disabilities in community life. We invite you to visit some of the recently-updated sections of our website.

Connecticut's Council on Developmental Disabilities speaks out on the issues and educates policymakers, communities, and service providers. Each year, we provide funding to selected initiatives designed to address the most urgent issues impacting people with severe and multiple disabilities and their families. The Council receives a fixed amount of federal funds each year under the federal Developmental Disabilities Assistance aid Bill of Rights Act of 2000.
